We want to encourage folks to take an active role in reducing runoff. In June we held a rain barrel workshop, and hope to do so again in the future. We hope home owners will consider putting at least one rain barrel on their property.
The Interstate Commission for the Potomac River Basin (ICPRB) has a rain barrel program worth checking out. This is the same type we gave out at our event. The ICPRB also lists many of the rebate programs in Rockville, Gaithersburg and Montgomery County.
Barry from Aquabarrel (R) attended our workshop and certainly had many options to consider. Barry has offered for those who buy a rain barrel from the link here on our website, a percentage will go towards a donation to Muddy Branch Alliance.
Neighbors working together can make a difference! We are a volunteer non-profit committed to preserving the fragile natural environment in our watershed in Montgomery County, Maryland.
