Monitor Activity of Frogs and Toads

Frogs and toads are pollution sensitive organisms and live their life in water and on land.

Frogwatch USA is a nation-wide volunteer frog and toad monitoring program run by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums open to individuals and their families.

As a citizen scientist, volunteers are trained to identify frog and toad calls, at a suitable wetland site of their choice, and to report their data online.

From February to August (the breeding season) we ask that you commit to monitoring your site, weekly for a three minute period, 30 minutes after sunset.

Come join us and learn about these important indicators of environmental health.
